MIDDLEFIELD SCHOOL OF TECHNOLOGY – WALKING SHADOW

Working alongside Shooting Fish Theatre Company, we ran film and drama workshops to help a group of students at Middlefield School of Technology produce their own short film. They developed the story, planned and assisted with the shoot and starred in the film. Working with drama students in particular, it helped give them a taste of using professional practises and showed them how much work goes into making films.

Fans of the horror genre, the pupils created a dark and moody film which was so good it won two awards (including Best Production) at the LAFTA’s (a film award ceremony for Lincolnshire young people). The feedback we received about the process and final film was all very positive and we have since spoken to one of the participants a few years since the project and learnt that he was studying Media Production at university and looking to work in the film industry once he’s graduated.
