Using photography to inspire individuals to become involved with local history
We’ve been asked by Community First to work with unemployed people living in the Abbey Ward of Lincoln, with the aim of enhancing their research skills and teaching them photography techniques. The programme will culminate in a photography exhibition where period photos of Lincoln will be fused in various ways with modern photographs taken by the group, as well as improving employment prospects for participants by improving their self-belief and confidence.
Their work will be showcased in an exhibition in late December at the Abbey Access Centre, allowing the community to become involved in this niche project that celebrates Lincoln’s history.
